  • Do not wash treated area and avoid showering for 24 hours following your procedure.

  • Avoid taking hot baths or using saunas.

  • Avoid alcoholic beverages and smoking as these can delay healing and increase the risk of complications.

3-14 Days Post PRP Treatment

  • At this point you should gradually start increasing your daily activities and increase your exercise. To maximize the effects of the procedure, proper exercise is necessary.

  • It is normal to experience mild-moderate bruising, soreness, and swelling in the injected area that may last from 3-10 days following your procedure. You can take Arnica as needed.

  • Ice can also be applied for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day, as needed for comfort.

  • DO NOT TAKE anti-inflammatory medications.

  • Avoid alcoholic beverages for the first 7 days.

3-4 Weeks Post PRP Injection

  • Physical therapy is encouraged and can help your body fully heal the affected joint(s).

  • End results depend on many factors, including the number of injections, following post treatment care instructions, proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

  • Good general health is the key to excellent and predictable outcomes by supporting your cells to work well and promote healing.
